Beginner: Player has either never held a racquet or played sparingly without formal instruction.

Advanced Beginner: Player has been introduced to grips & strokes and starts to make contact with ball on a regular basis.

Low Intermediate: Player is starting to keep ball in play, learning to serve, can volley and is learning court positioning.

Intermediate:  Player can keep ball in play consistently, hits with some spin, and can serve and rally consistently
